José Triguero and Chris Patfield: Project Gibbon

Work in Development

Project Gibbon is an exploration into creating a poetic and comic juggling and movement-based piece about self-awareness and internal dialogue.

The performers aim to unearth the connection between human behaviour and the cycle of nature, to dig a journey into the self, researching ideas around affection, violence, cooperation, external vs internal expectations, the need for personal space and the importance of being taken away from it.

Project Gibbon aims to find a fresh approach to juggling by mixing it with other art forms like movement, choreography, devised and visual theatre to create a fuller experience for the audience.

Creation in collaboration with Fabian Wixe

Current state of project

We are collaborating with Gandini Juggling for the development of the project.
We have previously presented an indoor 20 min piece at Cockpit Theatre (London) in Nov 2017 and completed a Labtime Squared residency at Dancebase in Dec 2017 supported by NCCA and Full Cirqle (Scotland).
