    Canvas is a showcase and networking event for promoters and programmers who want to encounter the best of UK contemporary circus. In 2017 a full edition of Canvas will be held in partnership with the Roundhouse, Jacksons Lane, National Centre for Circus Arts and artsdepot. Canvas 2017 will present established and emerging UK artists with full-length shows, work-in-progress performances and arts market style events. We're proud to be partnering with Finnish and Catalan cultural promoters to extend our international profile and showcase work from our European partners.

    Event registration will include 2.5 days of networking with artists and national and international partners and tickets to see full length work and work in progress showings.

    Who is it for?

    Canvas is an event tailored for local, national and international promoters and programmers. If your venue/festival is new to circus programming, Canvas will give you the opportunity to discover this exciting and engaging artform. If you already engage with circus, Canvas will offer an opportunity to meet new artists, find out about work in development and network with colleagues in the sector.

    Why has Canvas been organised?

    Canvas aims to improve touring and development opportunities for artists in the UK and abroad, and to increase dialogue between venue programmers, producers and artists across the national and international fields. Canvas is the successor of the showcase Circus Nowand the previous edition of Canvas in 2015.
